today, let's continue following the global young's perspective and dig deep into the qinling national botanical garden, to experience the beautiful natural scenery and unique ecological beauty of china's north-south boundary ridge.

the qinling mountains is the dividing line between the north and the south of china, the watershed of the yangtze river and the yellow river, and an essential biological gene pool in the country. endowed with the richest natural resources among the 1,000-mile qinling mountains, the qinling national botanical garden spans from 480 meters to more than 3,000 meters in elevation, having the largest planned area in the world and the clearest vertical distribution zone. thanks to its special geographical location, the qinling national botanical garden currently has a plant relocation reserve and a biological in situ reserve, which are crucial platforms for studying plants in the qinling mountains.

global young learnt about the growth and decline of organisms and witnessed the alternating cycle of life at the herbarium pavilion, which features endemic species of the qinling mountains.

nowadays, the forest coverage in the area reaches 95%, and the number of rare and endangered plants increases yearly. according to statistics, there are 311 families, 1,144 genera and 5,103 species of plants in the park, including 16 species of plants protected at the national level, 66 species of plants under state protection (category ii) and 24 species of plants under provincial protection level. in order to protect biodiversity, the qinling national botanical garden has strengthened its research work on the conservation breeding of critically endangered species. it also carries out rescue breeding of species on the verge of extinction and returns them to the wild.
